Methodology

These counts are the public Underwriter Services Association listings stored in data/jobs.json after the latest sync. Each row is one opening. A listing that names a city is counted in that state. Remote share uses the words remote, work from home, or telecommute in the title or location. Contractor vs employee uses the position tags on the listing.

Pay ranges appear only when the listing posted a number we could read. This page does not fill gaps with outside estimates.

The snapshot is a point in time. It is not a forecast and it is not an official employment series.
